In order to improve the overall user experience on participer.ge.ch, our platform stores a single cookie during the time of the given session for every user. This cookie does not trace the user's IP address.

What is stored: a valid session token. This token is deleted once the browser's tab closed.

Name of the used cookie: _decidim_app_session

No other data whatsoever is stored by the platform, except the datas provided by the users during account setup which are exclusively linked to these accounts. In accordance with participer.ge.ch functionnalities, user accounts may at any time be deleted by the users themselves. Users may also download a copy of their personnal datas freely, directly from their account preferences.

participer.ge.ch purpose is to promote civic discussions and debates, transparency and tracability in participative processes (but never to search, target or profile specific users), as well as to create participative spaces in the physicial and digital realms.

Through the access and use of this platform, citizens engage themselves to accept and respect all applicable dispositions. Moreover, the users and citizens accessing participer.ge.ch engage themselves to respectfully provide contents and use the services provided by the platform in a licit and adequate way as well as to abstain of any illegal behaviour.

The state of Geneva cannot be held responsible for the incorrect use of participer.ge.ch platform by it's users or on the basis of the contents they provide. Each user is repsonsible of the correct use of the platform as well as the legal status of the content and opinions expressed and shared through it.

It is expressively forbidden to add illegal or unauthorised content to the website.

The user is fully responsible of his content and contributions as well as of the damages or claims that may be resulting from them. In no way may the state of Geneva be held responsible of the abusive use of the website, of the plateform or of shared content, as well as of the use done by a physical person of provided thoughts, of the relevance of these thoughts, or of the consequences resulting from these actions and thoughts. The state of geneva cannot be held responsible for damages resulting in the access of another website linked from the platform's content, nor can it be held responsible for the content provided through this link.

The present conditions govern the conditions applicable to the content sent by the platform's users via the corresponding form (hereafter referred to as the "content"). The content doesn't include personnal datas (except the user's public name) provided through the signup and verification, but includes only the public content provided by the user (comments, propositions, ...). No confidentiality: all the content sent by the user to the State of Geneva via the platform must be available to the public. Consequently, the state of Geneva will consider all content as non confidential information. Advertisement or distribution of presented content: participants and users of the platform hereby aknowledge and accept the fact that provided informations may be published on the website of the state of Geneva, as well as through other appropriate means to make this inititative known to a larger public.
