The climate plan is structured in 7 strategic axes and includes 41 measures that define the actions necessary to reduce GHG emissions by 60% in 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality in 2050.
Objectives of the consultation
The State of Geneva encourages the population to contribute to the evolution of the 2030 cantonal climate plan and its 2021-2023 plan of measures in view of its next update. The consultation invites the population to express its views on the strategic axes which imply a greater participation of non-state actors:
The consultation does not include the axes concerning adaptation and key issues, such as spatial planning, as these will be the subject of their own consultation processes which are currently being developed.
